๐ซง Step 2: Open the OIM Mapping Search

In the datasetโs concept map, find the node labeled
empty
(โช). -
Double-click on the red-flagged bubble next to it (๐marked as 1)
โ this is theequivalentClass
link.
๐ A search panel will open where you can explore and assign OIM to match your dataset to existing vocabularies or standards.

Use the OIM feature to link your dataset concepts to standard ontology terms.
๐ Step-by-Step Instructions
โ Select a Query Source
Click the dropdown to choose a predefined property to base your search on.
๐ Example: standard_name
This will automatically fetch related OIM mappings.
โ Or Type a Custom Keyword
Manually enter a search term in the search box to find mappings relevant to your concept.
๐ Use this if the predefined property doesnโt match your intent.
โ Adjust Match Relevance (Top-K)
Use the slider to control how many top-ranked results are shown.
๐ Move right to increase result count, or left to narrow it down.
โ Choose an OIM Mapping
From the search results below, select the most appropriate mapping based on the concept youโre trying to align.
๐ Results include a label and definition (e.g., from the CF Standard).
โ Save the Mapping
Click the โ
Save button at the bottom right to finalize the mapping.
๐ Your concept is now semantically aligned with a recognized standard.
